Use the chart window#

The chart opens in a window that floats above the table it came from. The window stays on top while you work, so you can read the chart and the source rows together. The title bar names the columns on the plot and holds every control for the window.

Move and resize the window#

Drag the title bar to move the window. Drag the bottom-right corner to resize it. The window opens in the centre of the screen at a readable default size. It remembers the size and position you leave it at, so the next chart opens where the last one was.

Select the maximise control in the title bar to fill the screen. Select the same control again to return to the previous size and place.

Switch the chart type#

Three buttons in the title bar switch the plot between a line, an area, and a bar chart. The change applies at once and uses the same columns, so you can try each shape against your data without a fresh start.

Open the panel and close the window#

The gear icon in the title bar opens the customise panel beside the plot. In that panel you change the plotted columns and the look of the chart. See Customising a chart.

Close the window with the close control in the title bar, or press Esc. The app clears the chart when you close the window. To see it again, select the rows and select Generate Chart once more.
