Find a saved request#
Type in the search box to narrow the tree by name, path, or method without flattening it.
The search box at the top of the Collections panel filters the tree as you type. It narrows a large set of saved requests to the few you want. Each match keeps its place in the tree, so the results do not flatten into a list.
Name, path, and method#
The match is case-insensitive, and it finds your text anywhere in the value. The search covers three things:
- Name. The collection, folder, request, or flow name.
- Path. The chain of names from the collection down to the node. A search for part of a path finds a node even when no single name contains your text.
- Method. The method on a saved request, so a search for
postfinds every saved POST.
Matches expand their parents#
When something matches inside a folder or collection, every container above it expands so you can see where it sits. Containers with no match stay hidden. The result is a filtered tree that still shows context.
Clear the search box#
Click the X button at the right of the box to clear it, or delete the text yourself. The tree returns to its normal state. With the box empty, every collection expands again.
